How it works

How it works

ChinaTalentDesk is an open marketplace by default. You choose from open bids, with paid desk services available when you want expert help.

  1. Brief

Describe the work in your own words. The AI Brief Builder asks a few questions and drafts a structured brief, with a Chinese version for freelancers.

  2. Review open bids

Freelancers respond to your brief. Review their bids and profiles, then choose the candidate you want to hire.

  3. Optional candidate vetting

For a service fee, the desk can vet candidates for you before you decide.

  4. Contract and first milestone

You accept the proposal, sign the contract and fund the first milestone. Work starts once it is paid.

  5. Approval and invoice

You review each deliverable against its criteria and approve it. The freelancer is paid, and your invoices and documents stay in one place.

How payments work

Your contract and invoices stay outside mainland China. We pay freelancers locally in China in RMB, according to the installments agreed with you.

Questions clients ask

Who owns the work?
You do. Every contract assigns the intellectual property in the deliverables to you.
Is my project kept confidential?
Freelancers see the brief without your company name until a contract is signed, and every contract includes confidentiality terms.
How do time zones work?
Each brief records the working hours you need to overlap, and the desk matches on it. A daily handover note covers the hours you are offline.
How do I pay?
By card or bank transfer in USD, EUR, GBP, SGD or HKD, one milestone at a time. Subscription clients can pay on invoice terms.
